We offer a variety opportunities for people with limited to no experience of all ages
to engage with horses and ponies in a fun and meaningful way!
Have you ever wanted to learn more about horses but weren't sure how to do it?
We can help!
Not only can we introduce you to horses in this hands on and beginner friendly program, but we can help connect you with various resources available
throughout Maryland so you can continue!
Our pony play dates are getting a makeover and now we include adults as well!
Our older youth and adult versions are becoming our Horse Discovery Experiences!
As a Maryland State Horse Discovery Center, with a mission to help people explore the wonderful world of Maryland horses, we invite you to schedule your Horse Discovery Experience with us! Your session is approximately 60 minutes long with time allotted for arrivals and departures. Your session includes a brief tour of our farm to meet the goats, sheep and pigs before heading into the barn to meet your horse or pony instructor and then to learn to groom, and then out to the ring to learn to lead around the ring and through a series of obstacles. Pictures and video are acceptable and encouraged! Don’t forget to tag us on social media!
We haven't forgotten our youngest enthusiasts and we will be offerring the same experience for kids in our updated Pony Play Dates! These sessions will include the same activities as the standard Horse Discovery Experience, but with small hands in mind! A shorter, 30 minute version will be available as well.

NO DOGS ARE ALLOWED ON THE PREMESIS UNLESS CERTIFIED SERVICE DOG PROVIDING A MOBILITY OR MEDICAL SERVICE. EMOTIONAL SUPPORT ANIMALS ARE NOT CONSIDERED SERVICE DOGS HERE. We have to consider the health and safety
of the resident animals here when allowing dogs on the property.
